Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The weekday part-time Reference Librarian provides Reference Services to faculty, students, staff and the community. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned. The successful candidate will work 3 weekdays per week for the Fall semester.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responding to in-person, phone, email and Chat inquiries.
Teaching Information Literacy classes as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

M.L.S. degree from a Graduate School of Library Science accredited by the American Library Association is required.  Must be comfortable using current technology for reference and instruction, including Internet searching, virtual reference services and classroom technology systems.  College library reference experience including teaching library instruction at the college level preferred.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:  15 weekday daytime hours for the Fall semester
