Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Marketing Intern for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). The intern supports the Marketing team and should be curious about marketing, business, and how organizations communicate with the public. What You’ll Learn:

What You’ll Do:

  • Helping to plan and promote events and activities.
  • Creating posts for social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
  • Brainstorming and making short videos or content for digital platforms.
  • Learning how to use tools like Canva to design flyers or graphics.
  • Supporting our team at events by greeting visitors or handing out materials.

FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $15.50/hourly Offer Information

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant experience.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Reliable and responsible – able to follow through on tasks. Comfortable working within a team and asking questions when needed.
  • Willing to participate on camera for social content (if interested).
  • Demonstrate academic excellence through strong grades, honors, awards or other achievements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A first year undergraduate with an interest in business, marketing, or digital content.

Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment
