The part-time Teen Services Librarian will work with the Teen Services department to staff and program the Westergard Branch teen space. The position also includes all-ages reference and occasional coverage at the Kennedy Branch.

Responsibilities:
Provide information, reference, and readers advisory services to all patrons, especially teen patrons at the Westergard Branch
Assist Teen Services Librarians with in-person and virtual programming
Assist Teen Services Librarians with collection development
Build relationships with teen patrons
Troubleshoot computers
Update the Teen section of the Library’s website.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
An ALA accredited MLS (or equivalent) and NJ Public Librarian Certificate are preferred. Consideration will be given to currently enrolled MLS students or to those with demonstrated experience with teens and/or public library service.

The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for working with young people in grades 6-12, exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of current computer technology, and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Schedule of 12-14 hours per week will include afternoon, evening, and some weekend hours. Friday afternoon availability is highly desired. The successful candidate must be available to work at both Kennedy and Westergard Libraries.

Compensation:
This is a part-time position, with a minimum starting salary of $34.67 per hour with MLS and NJ Certification; $29.20 per hour for students currently enrolled in an MLS program.
