Children’s Librarian Internship

Sayreville Public Library seeks an MLIS student for a summer internship in our busy Children’s Dept. The candidate should have an interest in and coursework related to Children’s services. Experience working in a public library and knowledge of presenting storytime and craft programs is a plus. This is a part-time, temporary, summer position and begins immediately. Twenty hours per week, including one evening. Salary is $21/hr.
Responsibilities include presenting summer programming for children, preparing crafts, answering patron’s questions, assisting in the use of technology such as printers and online databases and assisting the dept. as necessary.
