JOB POSTING: Science and Social Science Librarians – 2 Positions

Boatwright Memorial Library at the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia invites applications for a Science Librarian (#500413) and a Social Sciences Librarian (#500406) to join our Research & Instruction team.

The University of Richmond is a liberal arts university with a strong focus on teaching and learning that also prioritizes faculty and student research experiences.

The Science Librarian will develop innovative approaches to research, teaching, and learning, providing instruction and research support for biology, chemistry, biochemistry & molecular biology, health studies, and physics. In addition, the Science Librarian collaborates with faculty from across the liaison areas to select, manage, and develop a diverse collection that reflects the current needs of the curriculum as well as anticipating future areas for growth.

The Social Sciences Librarian will develop innovative approaches to research, teaching, and learning, providing instruction and research support for anthropology, sociology, psychology, and education; and leading initiatives to support First-Year student success, including developing tutorials and assessments for instruction. The Social Sciences Librarian collaborates with faculty from across the liaison areas to select, manage, and create a diverse collection that reflects the current needs of the curriculum as well as anticipating future areas for growth.
