Summer 2024 Internship: Digital Content Creator

The Center for Youth Political Participation is recruiting a team of interns to support the creation of digital content for the newly established Rutgers-Eagleton Cyber Civics Initiative. The primary goal of the Initiative is educating and informing young people about the essence of American democracy, emphasizing their role as responsible citizens in preserving and advancing it, particularly through active participation in civic discourse and process. Interns will support CYPP staff in creating and disseminating digital content for the initiative.

This paid internship position begins June 2024 until August 2024.

Internship Responsibilities

Creating engaging and trending multimedia videos and graphics for the Eagleton Institute of Politics social media platforms on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
Assist with event advertisements and brand awareness
Serve as an ambassador of the initiative for on and off campus events and meetings
Engage in meetings with multiple stakeholders, both inside and outside the University
Analyzing content analytics for broader engagement

Eligibility requirements:

Must have experience creating engaging social media content, including video creation and editing
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must have strong attention to detail and assignment guidelines/expectations and have the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Must be a current undergraduate student an accredited College or University in good academic standing with the University
Must be available to attend weekly check-in meetings
Ability to work 15-20 hours per week in a hybrid arrangement
